Assistant Professor (Tenure Track) – Film and Electronic Arts
The Film and Electronic Arts Program at Bard College invites applications for a practicing filmmaker or media artist at the rank of tenure-track Assistant Professor. The job will begin September 2024. We seek candidates whose work centers on one or more of the following areas: documentary and nonfiction media; video activism; race and representation; sound art; expanded cinema; intermedial practice; digital and emerging modalities. We welcome applicants who aim to push film form and style in new and experimental directions. It is also important that they have a strong and active production and exhibition record, which may include showing work in galleries, museums, festivals, and arthouse theaters.A commitment to teaching undergraduates in a liberal arts environment is a must.
