Position Summary:
The faculty member in this position will have performance, teaching and research/creative skills and interests that best complement the jazz area within the School of Music.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Potential assignments could include a mixture of the following areas as appropriate.
Direct the Jazz Orchestra or Jazz Combos.
Teach courses in Jazz Pedagogy.
Teach studio lessons.
Serve as Coordinator of the Jazz Area.
Engage in meaningful service to the School of Music, as assigned.
Collaborate with faculty in the development of the program, curriculum content and pedagogy to ensure the quality of the student experience and student recruiting.
