· The Coordinator, Arts at Camden County College is responsible for providing support for all College arts-related activities and productions with the goal of creating a Center for the Arts at Camden County College and establishing Camden County College as a resource for arts and culture in Camden County. This individual will oversee Lincoln Hall events and productions staged in conjunction with the academic programs and departments, with a goal of expanding collaborative efforts with community organizations. This individual will also assist the Administrator of record of the Camden County Cultural & Heritage Commission at Camden County College by providing support to Camden County constituents in the areas of the arts, culture, and history as offered through the Commission at Camden County College. This individual will serve as a content provider for marketing the arts in general, with emphasis on digital productions for social media marketing.
ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS
· Ability to work directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socio-economic backgrounds.
· In collaboration with the Office of Events Planning, manage arts-related events and productions through the Arts at Camden County College with the goal of establishing Camden County College as a resource for arts and culture. This includes coordinating an arts program calendar, advertising, assisting in facility rental arrangements, and ensuring productions consistently exceed the expectations of all constituencies.
· Nurture relationships with local businesses and business groups, arts groups, government agencies, universities, the community, schools, the media, and arts organizations for collaboration and rental opportunities.
· Regularly create and publish arts-related digital content in order to build an online presence for arts-related programming through an increasing footprint on social media and a client database.
· Support and provide outreach to outside arts and culture organizations as needed.
· Attend performances, rentals, and events to manage and ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for staff, patrons, and artists and provide coverage in the areas of concessions, box office, and other guest service responsibilities as needed.
· Oversee student workers to ensure appropriate staffing levels for all arts-related events.
· Assist in the management of the arts-related budgets and provide analysis through quarterly reports.
· Work closely with recruitment and admissions regarding marketing, scheduling, and attending recruitment events.
· Work closely with the Office of Communications & Marketing to develop innovative and effective arts communication and marketing strategies and to ensure all events are promoted and advertised in a timely manner.
· Supervise part-time and temporary employees within the Visual and Performing Arts areas. · Assist the College liaison to the Camden County Cultural and Heritage Commission to support artistic programming to showcase Camden County constituents in the areas of the arts, culture, and based on goals and long-range planning. Duties entail support of planning and organizing program activities and managing budgets.
· Participate in arts-related professional development activities as needed.
· Perform all other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
MINIMUMQUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor's degree in an arts-related field required; Master's degree preferred.
· Demonstrated management experience, including strategic planning, budget management, and equipment management.
· Experience working in a gallery, theater, and/or music industry preferred.
· Experience in event planning preferred.
· Experience developing both print, online, and social media content preferred.
· Up-to-date in the use of emerging arts-related technologies.
· Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
· Proficient with common workplace computing applications.
· Ability to work a flexible schedule for performances and events are expected. Evening and weekend availability is required.
