Technician In Residence - Production (Year- Round)

Position Summary: The Production Technician is responsible for providing sound, lighting, video and stage support for Academy performances. This position will work with full time production staff to provide technical support for all arts and education departments. This position includes room and board on campus and a complete benefits package.
Essential Duties:
Set up and operation of Sound Reinforcement Equipment
Set up and operation of Lighting equipment
Set up and operation of Video equipment
May be required to do some lighting and sound design as needed
Assist with staging, rigging, audio visual and other technical aspects of stage production
Conduct routine maintenance, inventory, inspection and repair of Presents equipment
Maintain a safe work environment
Provide coverage of daily rehearsals and performances
Learn new skills and improve existing skills in changing technology

Education: Bachelor’s degree in technical theatre or related program required. MFA in technical theatre is preferred.
Experience: Seeking professional level experience. Experience working in a performing arts center, professional theatre or academic arts environment is required.
Certifications, Licenses or Special Training:
Must meet and maintain background screening requirements as detailed in policy 12.HR.01 Pre-Employment and Employee Background Checks.
Valid driver’s license and driving record that meets the eligibility requirements of ICA’s insurance carrier (for all positions requiring driving).
