Overview
Direct academic and administrative operations for the Tisch School of Arts (TSOA) Dance department to ensure effective classroom scheduling, delivery of services, and efficient office operations. Manage a variety of complex programmatic academic processes. Manage program budget and preparation of financial reports. Supervise staff. Act as administrative liaison with other school and University offices; interpret and apply University policies to plan and manage highly complex administrative matters

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree
Preferred Education: Master's Degree
Required Experience: 5+ years experience in academic administration or related areas in academic programming, faculty services, and managing budgets and contracts.
Preferred Experience: 5+ years academic, performing arts and/or industry environment
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Excellent planning, management, networking, communication, and presentation. Ability to negotiate solutions to contain problems and persuade others when some differences of opinion may exist. Knowledge of Microsoft and Google software.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Understanding of integration of various curricula in curriculum delivery. Ability to deal effectively with diverse audiences to produce consensus in complex issues. Understanding the integration of various disciplines. Knowledge of NYU platforms like TCM and Peoplesync.
Qualifications
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $82,000.00 to USD $102,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
