GENERAL DUTIES
Performs supervisory and/or complex technical functions in laboratories in support of coursework.
Maintains, fabricates, modifies, and repairs laboratory equipment
Determines equipment requirements; prepares purchase specifications and coordinates acquisition of equipment
Trains and supervises College Laboratory Technicians, College Assistants, and other laboratory staff
Manages the set up, maintenance, and organization of student laboratories
Maintains appropriate safety and hygiene standards
Maintains required documentation related to laboratory activities.

CAMPUS SPECIFIC INFORMATION
The Department of Communications and Performing Arts at Kingsborough Community College is seeking two Adjunct Senior College Laboratory Technicians to perform responsibilties in the areas of Theatre and Media. The positions report directly to the Director of Theatre or Director of Media as appropriate.
Responsibilities include:
Perform support in studio and laboratory classes
Assist in studio setup and maintenance
Setup and prepare for practicum and lab sessions
Maintain studio and laboratory equipment
Provide additional support for Media and Theatre classes and lab/studio projects.
Evening and/or weekend hours may be required during technical rehearsals, load-in and strike.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma with a minimum of eight years related experience. Additional education may be used to meet the experience requirement: an Associate degree may be substituted for two years experience, and a Bachelor's degree may be substituted for four years experience. This position also requires the ability to direct train, and supervise others.
COMPENSATION
$38.50 - $51.06 per hour.
Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Recording of plenary sessions that is intended for broadcast or webcast requires prior arrangement and permission through APAP;
Advance scheduling is required for all filming during exhibit hours;
Advance scouting, without cameras, is required;
All camera crew personnel must wear press badges, and badges must be visible while on the exhibit floor;
All camera crews will be escorted by a representative of the Conference while on the exhibit floor;
A list of filming needs, indicating company name and booth number, must be approved by APAP in advance of any filming;
Permission must be granted by each exhibitor before any filming begins. Camera crews must provide release forms before filming;
If you ?need power, other than battery pack, advance arrangements are required and can be arranged by contacting Leah Frelinghuysen;
You will be responsible for any costs related to electrical needs;
Interviews for exhibitors in the EXPO Hall should be scheduled up to one week before the conference starts (January 10, 2020) and advance scheduling is required for all filming during exhibit hours
