This position supports the daily operations for the School of Music (SoM)* and provides administrative support to the Director, faculty and students. This is a full time, on-campus position. Responsibilities:
Office administration; support SoM office, Director, faculty, and students; keep SoM website up to date; communicate upcoming events with the campus and Bloomington/Normal community; supervise all printing and distribution of SoM posters, programs and advertisements; compile and send all recitals-related requests for crew and recording to be processed; onboard new faculty; support grant funded programs as needed
Manage SoM budget and expenditures; monitor several budgets and forecast expenditures, create monthly/annual budget reports, submit transactions, track and report Grant spending
Assist with logistics of SoM courses and events; scheduling of classrooms (taking into consideration discipline-related requirements), recitals, concerts and University special events
Supervise 15-20 student workers; hire and train student workers, supervise and approve pay periods, meet weekly to assess progress
Requirements:
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Solid problem-solving skills.
High school diploma/GED required, associate’s degree preferred; significant office administration experience may substitute for preferred associate’s degree
Three years’ related office experience
