Lecturer in Music (Steel Band)
Princeton UniversityThe Department of Music seeks to fill a part-time Lecturer position to teach the course MPP 231: Princeton University Steel Band during the fall and spring terms for the 2023-2024 academic year. Responsibilities include teaching one course, which meets once per week, grading student work, and holding regular office hours. Appointment duty time is subject to course enrollments and departmental need and is expected to begin September 1, 2023. An advanced degree is required; PhD or DMA preferred. Candidates must have experience performing and teaching traditional steel pan music and have deep knowledge of the performance practices of the steel band originating in Trinidad and Tobago.
