Job Description The College of Fine Arts seeks a Director of Admissions for the School of Theatre. This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of admissions and recruitment for the School of Theatre (both graduate and undergraduate), including: development and implementation of recruitment efforts and materials; planning, implementation and oversight of audition/portfolio reviews/tours; management of admissions events and promotional strategies; oversight of all data systems relating to theatre admissions and portfolio reviews; communication with applicants; processing oversight for portfolio reviews, graduate assistantships and applications. The Director of Admissions, in collaboration with the Director of the School of Theatre, SOT faculty, College of Fine Arts Associate Dean for Academic Programs and Enrollment, and Boston University Office of Admissions, establishes and implements enrollment goals and merit financial aid strategies. This position manages and directs the Theatre Summer Institute, a pre-college, five-week program for high school students that runs during the summer months.
Required Skills Masters Degree preferred, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and three to five years of relevant experience. Some travel required. Housed in the School of Theatre, this position reports directly to the Associate Dean for Academic Programs and Enrollment.
