The Setnor School of Music within the College of Visual and Performing Arts in the College of Visual and Performing Arts at Syracuse University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Composition and Theory beginning August 15, 2024.

Our ideal candidate is an active composer in the process of building a national/international reputation with a portfolio of substantial public performances and recordings. A background teaching graduate and undergraduate music theory, ear training, and analysis is required. A commitment to diverse and inclusive approaches to teaching and learning is essential.
