Oversee the day-to-day management of the Houston Symphony website and its ticketing integration with Tessitura, including user-facing content, ecommerce, and back-end maintenance.
Essential Job Functions
With guidance from the Web Experience Director, manage, prioritize, and complete website updates based on cross-departmental projects, requests, and objectives with support from the Marketing Department on time and within brand standards
Oversee maintenance including liaising with outside web vendors and internal IT department to coordinate on and conduct regular back-end updates as well as troubleshoot any technical malfunctions
Collaborate with colleagues, predominantly Ticketing Database Manager, to ensure that website ecommerce reflects intended product descriptions, pricing, and purchase functionality
Act as team lead on all Tessitura and website integration projects
Work across departments to prioritize and manage website content updates including building out new pages and updating and ensuring accuracy on existing pages
Create and maintain landing pages used for campaigns
Create all pages with mobile-first and multi-device accessibility in mind
Work with the Marketing Director and Web Experience Director to conduct A/B testing on webpages to test campaign performance and optimize web experience
Monitor and administer web analytics dashboards, primarily Google Analytics, and point out key areas of importance and proactively address needed improvements or investigations into anomalies
With the artistic/operations department, set up the weekly livestream link via YouTube. Maintain livestream metrics for subscription concerts on an ongoing basis.
Crosstrain and backup marketing colleagues on email and social media marketing tasks as needed
Work concert duty as required by the marketing and communications team (approximately once a month, involving evening/weekend hours)
Perform additional duties as required by the Houston Symphony Society
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing and communications, web design, or related field
Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience
Experience with Google Analytics, Word Press or other CMS web platforms, and/or Tessitura preferred
Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills
Exceptional communication skills and strong attention to detail
Strong team player; comfortable working cross function
Passion for marketing and demand generation. Interest in or experience with music a plus
