We're looking for a passionate piano technician to help maintain our pianos, harpsichords, and keyboards. The position includes excellent benefits and opportunities for professional growth. This is a full-time, temporary, 12-month position, beginning on or before September 1, 2023. Some evening and weekend work will be required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in upkeep, repair, and tuning of the university inventory of pianos, harpsichords, and keyboards;
•  Work reliably, efficiently, and independently on tasks as assigned;
•  Communicate effectively with faculty, students, and staff, both verbally and in writing;
•  Assist in training student assistants or apprentices;
•  Understand and follow all university policies.

This is a full-time, 12 month Temporary position starting on or before September 1, 2023 with an annual salary of $45,000.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree completed by August 2023;
• Demonstrated experience in piano tuning, maintenance, and/or repair.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's (or graduate) degree in music or related field of study;      
• Five years of experience in piano tuning, maintenance, and/or repair;
• Experience working in community, university, and/or professional music performance environments;
• Professional certification (e.g., from a recognized trade school, Piano Technicians Guild Registered Piano Technician in good standing, C.F. Theodore Steinway Technical Academy).
