APAP believes that pay transparency is a critical step toward pay equity and benefits both the job seeker and the employer. For those reasons, we are now requiring that employers include a salary range in all new job postings.
Postings that are backfilled from another association’s career center may not include salary information.

The Department of Classics at Yale University wishes to hire a full-time tenured faculty member at the associate or full professor level in Latin literature beginning July 1, 2024. Research specialty is open. We are looking for a colleague who can help us with our teaching needs, contribute their energy and ideas to the Department's academic life, and to the creative vision of the Humanities at Yale, while continuing to develop a bold research agenda. We seek a colleague preferably with a history of department and university service as well as tangible evidence of contribution to diversity in the field (e.g., in mentorship, teaching, outreach, and/or research). The teaching expectation is normally 4 courses per academic year, plus service to the program, including mentoring of graduate students and committee work. Applicants should submit an application via http://apply.interfolio.com/128428. They should submit a cover letter, CV, and a short description of recent teaching initiatives.
Review of applications will begin October 1, 2023, and will continue until the position is filled. For questions regarding this position, Please contact Professor Christina Kraus, Chair of the Search Committee, at email@example.com with any questions.
