1. Manages projects and complex workflows related to digital collections and access 2. Serves on library committees, task forces or working groups, relevant to digital collections and access. 3. Works as part of a high performing collaborative team that supports Digital Special Collections and Access in achieving its vision, mission and shared goals 4. Champions innovation in relation to digital collections and access 5. Provides support and training for users across Yale Library, for digital collections tools and services 6. Provides decision making to aid with user focused enhancements to digital collections tools and platforms 7. Facilitates strong collaboration and communication with stakeholders across Yale Special Collections, as well as partners in Assessment and User Experience Research; Collections, Research and Education; Community Engagement; Library IT, Preservation and Conservation Services; Public Services and Operations; and Technical Services. 8. Is professionally active and keeps up to date on trends related to digital collections, digital stewardship, and access. 9. Advocates for responsible stewardship of library digital collection content 10. Champions the skills and services provided by Digital Special Collections and Access 11. Other duties as assigned.

Required Skill/ability 1:  Demonstrated understanding of archival principals and best practices, notably in relation to digitized and born digital collections.

Required Skill/ability 2:  Demonstrated project management skills; experience managing backlog projects.

Required Skill/ability 3:  Two or more years of demonstrated ability working with library digital collections systems and tools, including Archives Space, Preservica and Library Management Platforms.

Required Skill/ability 4:  Demonstrated technical understanding of digital preservation and access challenges and solutions.  

Required Skill/ability 5:  Strong collaboration, customer service, and communications skills.

Preferred Education:  Substantial knowledge of and experience with digital and online resources. Experience in migration to a new library services platform. Ability to read music and a basic understanding of music history.

Work Week:  Standard (M-F equal number of hours per day)
