Adjunct Faculty are part-time faculty teaching undergraduate or graduate courses in the core and specialty curriculum of the discipline. The Adjunct Faculty member performs duties relating to instruction including, but not limited to: teaching assigned courses based upon the syllabus and the posted faculty expectations, participating in classroom discussion, grading assignments and promptly responding to student inquiries. Adjunct faculty positions are assigned on a term-to-term basis.
Knowledge and insights gained from the exploration of and or teaching in his/her area of specialization.
Ability to communicate to students and professional peers.
Ability to perform successfully the professional duties assigned.
Ability to demonstrate academic ability.
Candidates must have a Master’s Degree in the teaching discipline, or have a Master’s Degree in a related discipline, or have 18 graduate semester hours (30 quarter hours) in the teaching discipline from a regionally accredited institution.
