Job Description:
Adjunct faculty in Community Education provide instruction for non-credit courses and programs for personal enrichment and professional and career development. Adjunct faculty develop and deliver course content using high quality pedagogical techniques to ensure maximum student success and learning in the following areas:
Art, Music and Dance
Computer applications and technology
Courses specifically designed for Seniors 55+
Cuisine
Family, Finance and Consumer Issues
Fitness and Recreation
Gardening
Health and Wellness
History and Culture
Languages
Literature and Writing
Photography
Professional Development
Responsibilities and Duties:
Prepare course syllabi that meet all contractual requirements.
Ensure that classes meet for the allotted time on every scheduled meeting day during the semester.
Employ effective instructional strategies that promote student learning.
Monitor email communications from students and the college and respond in a timely manner, as appropriate.
Meet all deadlines for submission of grades, student participation reports and/or other administrative documentation as required.
Work collaboratively with department staff.
Focus on the Commonwealth's Equity Agenda by applying related best practices throughout all job functions.
Adjunct Faculty are part time instructors hired on an as needed basis. Positions may consist of day, night, or weekend positions and may be in Brockton, Canton, Middleborough, or any other instructional site.

Requirements:
Master's degree and a minimum of two(2) years' classroom teaching experience. Advanced or special certifications or licensure may be substituted for the Master's degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience teaching adult learners
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Knowledge and understanding of the community college environment
