Job Summary:
The School of the Arts at Fairleigh Dickinson University seeks a Director of Animation/Associate Professor specializing in 3D character animation. Selected candidate will act as program Director, supervising the undergraduate (B.A.) Animation and Game Design majors, and acting as director of the graduate programs (MA and MFA) in Animation and Game Design. Applicants should possess skills in Autodesk 3D Studio MAX (animation and CAT tools) and Adobe After Effects. Knowledge of ZBrush and motion capture is a plus. The successful candidate will also be responsible for undergraduate and graduate animation program administrative duties as well as teaching upper-level 3D Animation courses in 3DS MAX. The appointment is planned to begin January 2024.
Required Qualifications:
: Applicants must have an M.F.A. in Animation with 5-7 years of experience in industry with commensurate achievements and/or academia, including demonstrated care for student welfare. Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory background check. Candidates for hire will be required to sign a waiver authorizing a background check and produce a Social Security Card.
