Job Summary:
Build and install scenery or lighting according to plans provided by the Technical Director.
The Theater Technician assists the Theatre Technical Director in assisting the Theatre faculty involved with theatre courses and production work with all aspects of the Theatre and Music programs. The Theatre shows and Music concerts have grown in size and scope and the actual build process of both were never addressed when Music and Theatre combined to form the Performing Arts Department. This Theater Technician position will now assist the one person who has been handling all facets of performances (set building/deconstruction, event lighting, sound systems, risers, sound shells, etc.)
Duties and Responsibilities:
Build and install scenery or lighting according to plans provided by the Technical Director.
Work with students and faculty in the process of construction following standard safety guidelines.
Minimum Requirements:
Experience in theatrical construction or lighting in educational and/or professional settings.
Works well in a team setting.
Experience with basic theatrical rigging, lighting and sound a plus.
References required.

Full-time/Part-time: Part-Time
Salary Range: Salary commensurate with education and experience.
