Requisition: 202300077F Hiring Salary: Monthly-Faculty Department: School of Music General Requirements: The ideal candidate will demonstrate an interest in developing a comprehensive musical awareness in all students and will work effectively with faculty colleagues to enhance the offerings of a dynamic and growing string department. Attendance at string juries, recital previews, and string auditions is expected. Nature & Purpose of Position/Usual Duties: Responsibilities: effectively teach applied bass students at various levels of accomplishment in both classical and jazz idioms, actively recruit and retain talented students, coach chamber ensembles, and perform with faculty jazz combo. If desired, the selected candidate will have the opportunity to teach music related courses depending on needs and interests.
