Position Summary: This position functions as an instructor in one of the Rutgers Community Art's summer camps in Dance, Theater, Filmmaking, Art and Design and/or Music. Instructors may teach individual classes, masterclasses or workshops to pre-college students, arising to other duties as assigned. They will work with RCA and MGSA to create a lesson plan for the course and serve as its instructor for its entirety. In working with members of Rutgers and surrounding communities, this position will further RCA's mission to engage community through the arts.

Minimum Education and Experience:
· A bachelor's degree and professional experience (performance and instruction) is preferred. Instructors who lack a bachelor's degree, but possess considerable professional experience and a demonstrated record of professional success/achievement; and/or are currently enrolled in a degree program pertinent to the camp may be hired for this position. · Specific knowledge and skill in the artform they are teaching is a must as well as familiarity with any necessary equipment and/or software as it pertains to the specific course if required. · Problem solving and independent judgement in teaching and classroom management is required. Physical Demands and Work Environment: Physical demands could include working with equipment pertinent to their artform, physical movement in dance/theater depending on the specific course taught.
