The Choral Department prides itself on its dedication to comprehensive musicianship and a diverse musical appreciation. There are strong middle school feeder school choral programs.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The successful candidate will possess the vision, expertise, and passion to cultivate a vibrant, inclusive, and dynamic choral program that inspires and empowers students to achieve their full potential musically and personally. This position is one of two choral directors in a collaborative team.

• Conduct and co-direct (as needed) several choirs daily.
• Work within a collaborative and integrated Performing Arts Department
• Lead extracurricular ensemble rehearsals and activities (including retreats, musical rehearsals, etc.)
• Participate in professional association events (viz. ACDA and FMEA).
• Curate a diverse and rich repertoire that reflects a range of musical genres, historical periods, cultures, and perspectives.
• Develop and maintain strong partnerships with school, community, and professional organizations.
• Cultivate a choral pedagogy that fosters vocal technique, musicianship and creativity.
• Ensure compliance with all administrative, legal, and ethical requirements related to choral education.
• Foster a collaborative and inclusive choral community that celebrates diversity and promotes positive social and emotional development.
