The Advanced Academic Programs (AAP) division seeks non-tenure-track adjunct faculty to teach courses within the Master of Liberal Arts (MLA) program. Of particular interest are candidates who have experience teaching asynchronous online courses, working with part-time graduate students, and engaging students from diverse backgrounds. About the MLA Program: Established in 1962, the Johns Hopkins Master of Liberal Arts program has gained national recognition for the quality of its teaching and the breadth of its course offerings. The MLA thrives on the curiosity, passion, and diversity of its students. The Johns Hopkins Master of Liberal Arts is a unique, non-traditional graduate degree. Whereas most graduate programs ask students to become more and more specialized, the MLA expects them to both broaden and deepen their educational experience. MLA students interact with professors and one another in a stimulating online learning environment in an asynchronous format that is compatible with students' work schedules and time zones.
