Within the Division of Student Affairs, the area of Residence Education oversees residential spaces that house approximately 626 residential college and 200+ high school students. The Department of Residence Life cooperates with the campus at large to create a community environment conducive to personal and professional growth unique to high school students in a residential arts conservatory educational setting.

The position of Community Coordinator for Residential Education (High School) is a full-time, 12 month live-in position reporting to the Assistant Director of High School Life and assists area leadership in pursuit of the mission of the department, division, and institution. Graduation from a four-year college or university plus 1-2 years’ experience in educational administration, teaching, residence life, counseling, social work or psychology area, or in working with young people in some other capacity; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelors Degree with 3-4 years of experience in residential living environments with a strong preference for boarding school (minors) settings. Approximately 1,250 students are enrolled in the five conservatories that make up the School of the Arts: Dance, Design and Production, Drama, Filmmaking and Music. Ranging from high school to undergraduate, graduate and post-master’s, the students are selected by audition or portfolio review and interview.
