Preferred Qualifications: 

• A master’s or doctorate in instrumental music or a closely related field
• Administrative skills to manage the marching band schedule, budgets, and a band student worker. Additionally, communicate     regularly with the music department chair and the music department administrative personnel.
• Familiarity with recruitment software and management tools 
• Familiarity with learning management systems (web-based course management, such as D2L or Blackboard);
• Experience working with faculty/teams in a collaborative manner
• Ability to coach and teach students on public performance skills
• Training and experience in online coursework
• Innovative technology skills and experience relevant to directing and teaching
• Familiar with music notation software (Finale, Sebelius or the like)
• Music ministry or service-oriented experience
