The successful candidate will direct a lower-division undergraduate section of mariachi ensemble. Mode of delivery is face-to-face and may include day or night classes. Required Education and Experience: Masterâ™s Degree in Music, or a related field, from a regionally accredited institution. Five or more years teaching and conducting a mariachi ensemble at high school or college level preferred. A minimum of 18 graduate hours in music or related field.
Preferred Education and Experience: Familiarity with music notation software and arrangement techniques preferred. Familiarity with the needs of a non-traditional, first-generation, culturally diverse student body. Graduate-level degree in ethnomusicology with emphasis on Latin-American music preferred.
