The Anchorage School District is comprised of over 40,000 students, with 8 traditional high schools, 11 middle schools, and 65 elementary schools, along with various alternative and charter schools. The ASD provides elementary classroom music for grades K-5 (6), and band, choir, and orchestra at the secondary level, along with other offerings, such as AP Music Theory, ukulele, keyboard, and music exploratory.
