The Division of Student Life at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville invites applications and nominations for the position of Events and Facility Coordinator. This is an exempt, 12-month, full-time, non-tenure track staff position.
The University of Tennessee Student Union partners with students to provide services and an intentional use of space to promote community, student learning and development, as well as a sense of belonging. The Student Union offers students the opportunity to eat, study, work, and relax in the heart of campus. It houses our Office of Sorority and Fraternity Life, the Jones Center for Leadership and Service, the Dean of Students Office, the Center for Student Engagement, the Visitors Center, the Center for Career Development & Academic Exploration, the VolShop, and VolTech.
The Position: The Student Union provides an array of facilities and services in support of the university's mission. The Events and Facility Coordinator provides daily management of the student union facility, ensuring a high level of customer service, student-learning focused undergraduate staff supervision, as well as skilled and proactive technical support.
This role manages the daily operations of the student union setup team, assists in the event reservation process, engages in campus outreach and training initiatives, and ensures facility security and emergency operations when needed.
