The Program Manager, under direction, serves as the advisor responsible for a student-driven committee providing entertainment programming (music concerts, comedy concerts, etc.) that targets Texas A&M University students. Provides professional and specialized skills for planning, developing, implementing, and managing student development programs and activities. REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Five years’ experience in student affairs work or related specialty area with a Bachelor’s Degree.
- Three years’ experience in student affairs work or related specialty area with a Master’s Degree.
- Experience in concert settings will be considered.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Must be able to communicate with a broad range of people, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to use word processing, spreadsheet and database programs.
- Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
- Budgeting, fundraising, organizational skills, volunteer training and management, student development theory and practice.
- Understanding of contract negotiation and programming management.
- Knowledge of the MSC and TAMU surrounding community, relationship with community organizations.
- Basic familiarity with current social media

The MSC Student Programs Office currently sponsors 18 programming committees producing 100+ events annually, with nearly 1,000 student leaders.
