Position Summary Arden Theatre Company seeks an experienced professional to fill the role of Manager of Institutional Giving. Reporting to the Director of Development, the Manager of Institutional Giving is responsible for all fundraising activities for the company’s institutional donors (foundation, corporate, government). Working as a front-line fundraiser, the Manager of Institutional Giving will meet and interact regularly with donors and organizational representatives, patrons, and community members, as well as the Arden’s staff, volunteers, and partners. The Manager must write and submit accurate and timely grant proposals and reports, ensure compliance with funding guidelines, and oversee institutional donor cultivation and stewardship. In this deadline-driven role, the Manager is expected to proactively seek opportunities to generate proposals based on corporate and foundation interest that will result in funding for the immediate and long terms goals of the Arden. Preferred Experience & Qualifications A bachelor’s degree or at least three years of equivalent fundraising experience is required; A master’s degree or at least four years of equivalent fundraising experience is preferred. Equivalent experience includes paid or volunteer work in nonprofit administration and fundraising, with a preference for direct solicitation through grant writing and/or sponsorship.
