The City of Sacramento is seeking applicants for an Assistant Box Office Supervisor for the SAFE Credit Union Convention and Performing Arts District. This position is full time, year-round and provides excellent benefits. You will be required to work in-person in the downtown Sacramento SAFE Credit Union Convention and Performing Arts District. This position also requires frequent evening and weekend shifts.
The SAFE Credit Union Convention and Performing Arts District Box Office manages all aspects of ticketing for multiple Sacramento venues presenting a wide variety of live entertainment events (concerts, comedy, theatre and dance) by local, national and international performers.
The ideal candidate for Assistant Box Office Supervisor has experience providing:
Exceptional customer service to both ticket buyers and event promoters
Supervision and support of ticket sellers
Assistance with reconciliation of sales, financial reporting, group sales, scaling/building of events and coordination of event marketing under tight deadlines
Assistance with management of daily operations
Sales and event building using Ticketmaster TM1 and TM Host (preferred but not required)

Experience and Education Requirements Any combination equivalent to experience and education that could likely provide the required knowledge and abilities would be qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
Experience: One year of experience in a lead capacity in the box office operations of a public events facility.
Education: College level courses in accounting or bookkeeping.
About City of Sacramento, SAFE Credit Union Convention and Performing Arts District
The SAFE Credit Union Convention and Performing Arts District is a component of the City of Sacramento's Convention and Cultural Services Department. Within the District are a Performing Arts Theater; a multi-purpose Auditorium and a full-service Convention and meeting facility, which combined hosts over 400 events, of them 200 ticketed events, and almost one million visitors annually. The City of Sacramento and City Council, with community partners including Visit Sacramento and the Sacramento Hotel Association, have embarked on the renovation and expansion of the SAFE Credit Union Convention Center, Memorial Auditorium and SAFE Credit Union Performing Arts Center. Registered as a historic landmark, the Memorial Auditorium is a true multi-use venue. The Auditorium has four seating levels, a sloped main floor, dress circle and two balconies, with a maximum capacity of 4,000 general admission and 3,460 reserved. In addition to the main house, the Auditorium includes the Memorial Hall and the 272-seat Jean Runyon Little Theater. The renovation of the Memorial Auditorium has added seating, acoustic enhancements, and other audio/visual upgrades. The renovation to the SAFE Credit Union ...Performing Arts Center included a prominent main entrance on L Street, improved acoustics and performance space, an enlarged lobby, expanded restrooms and concessions and ADA improvements. The renovation to the SAFE Credit Union Convention Center increased exhibit space, provided larger meeting space and improved the guest experience with better circulation through and around the building.
