The job purpose of the Senior Manager of Individual Giving, is to fuel Orchestra of St. Luke’s (OSL’s) mission through individual philanthropy, thereby bringing the beauty of classical music to tens of thousands of people each year. This front-facing position is integral to the organization’s long-term business strategy. This role has responsibility for a portfolio of individual donors and oversight of a multi-tiered membership program and the planned giving program, The Lockwood Society. The candidate will be joining an ambitious and successful four-person fundraising team that regularly exceeds annual targets. Duties and responsibilities
Qualifications and Requirements Bachelor’s degree required 4 or more years of experience in development with a proven track record of success in managing individual giving programs Excellent writing, communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills Skilled in Word, Excel, and Outlook; experience with Raiser’s Edge or similar database Competencies and Success Factors Team player and all hands-on deck, positive attitude, willing to pitch in where needed Knowledge of the New York City philanthropic network a plus Background and interest in being an advocate for classical music preferred Working conditions - Open office, some evenings and weekend events required, travel to meetings and events.
