Job Description: The Department of Communication and Rhetorical Studies, College of Visual and Performing Arts, at Syracuse University invites applications for a three-year, non-tenure track Assistant Teaching Professor, to begin August 2023.
This person will serve as a Basic Course Director and teach courses in the undergraduate curriculum. We seek candidates who recognize the importance of a vital public culture and are firmly grounded in the discipline of rhetoric. Applicants should complement the department's current strengths in rhetoric, language and social interaction, performance studies, and media studies. PhD in communication or a related field must be completed by August 2023, with superior training and exceptional promise for a career in higher education.
