The skilled professionals in the carpenter shop are well prepared to meet the challenging and diverse demands of the campus community. The Master Carpenter, under the supervision of the Technical Director will assist in the construction, painting and installation of stage scenery, stage machinery, stage lighting, stage sound, stage costumes, stage properties and peripheral devices necessary to the given setting and in accordance with its designed function within the parameters of a given production style and instructional focus of the School. May assist in training student crews for shows and perform other duties as assigned. Compensation Range: $22.57 - $26.80 Department Website: https://www.arts.uci.edu/ Required: Full knowledge and 2 year work experience operating a Mig Welder, Counter Weight System, Single Person Lifts, Genie Towers, Chain Motors, Scenic Truck Driving and Loading, and Drive Scenic Truck via freeways. Full knowledge of safety procedures and protocols in technical areas such as Stage Weight Loading, Fly Rail Operation and Overhead Rigging (Grid).
