The Technical Director provides consultation and program/project administration for Performance Facilities and is a program manager. More specifically, they are responsible for the safety of everyone onstage and backstage, manage the operations of the stage and backstage, ensure that stage equipment is properly maintained and therefore safe to use, hire, schedule and manage both professional and UNCSA student stagehand crews, and demonstrate techniques to School of Design & Production students when they request this.
