Interactive Media Arts (IMA) is a rigorous undergraduate program that combines practice-based and scholarly work in order to explore the social and cultural possibilities of emerging media and media creation. Our department is engaged in creative scholarship with research in design, software development, immersive media, robotics, electronic music, physical computing, data visualization, digital fabrication, games, and tangible and digital media. Our seminars combine the theoretical study of the history, philosophy, and politics of emerging media. The IMA department at NYU Shanghai invites applications for an Adjunct Teaching Faculty to start in Fall 2023. This faculty position will teach one or two of our undergraduate courses per semester.
