Job Description Summary:
Provide entry-level technical, logistical, and patron support within the Center for Performing Arts and other campus venues while broadening and refining core skills through experiential learning.

Minimum Qualifications:
EDUCATION
High School Diploma required.
EXPERIENCE
No experience required
Demonstrated experience in a performing art setting or venue preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLSANDABILITIES
Knowledge of basic theatrical concepts and terminology
Ability to operate theatrical equipment with and, at times, without supervision
Ability to function at a high level within stressful situations
Ability to work safely within a team environment
Ability to speak and write effectively in English
Ability to operate in multiple physical positions and at heights in excess of 40ft.
Ability to work with heavy equipment and supplies ranging from 35 pounds to 100+ pounds.
Ability to work with specialized Theater equipment and standard tools, control surfaces, buttons/levers hand tools, ladders, and personnel lifts

Must have the use of sensory skills in order to effectively communicate and interact with other employees and the public through the use of the telephone and personal contact as normally defined by the ability to see, read, talk, hear, handle or feel objects and controls. Physical capability to effectively use and operate various items of office related equipment, such as, but not limited to a, personal computer, calculator, copier, and fax machine.

Availability to work nights and weekends as required
Significant climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, and repetitive motions will be required.
Ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written standard English.
