Position Title Assistant Professor of Viola (tenure-track), Music Performance Studies
Primary Responsibilities Responsibilities will include teaching undergraduate and graduate applied viola, coaching chamber music, leading orchestral viola sectionals, contributing to the string pedagogy course (MUSP 4580/5580), undergraduate and graduate recruiting, advising, contributing to the artistic and intellectual life of the College and University, and maintaining a current profile as a viola performer and pedagogue in state, regional and national activities. Other duties will be assigned by the Chair or Dean depending upon the needs of the Department of Music Performance Studies and the College of Musical Arts.

Minimum Qualifications 1. Earned Doctorate or Master’s degree in Viola Performance with two years of professional performing and/or teaching experience 2. Teaching experience at the collegiate level preferred 3. Professional performing experience in all facets of viola performance (e.g. solo, chamber, and orchestral music)
