Responsible for the oversight and management of studio auditions, productions, performance facilities, and daily operations of New Studio on Broadway (NSB) productions including establishing administrative procedures, administering budgets, coordinating distribution of production supplies (costumes, props, etc.), organizing front-of-house operations, scheduling the use of studio performance and space. Hire and manage payroll for production staff. Schedule, manage, and evaluate student crew completing their Introduction to Theatre Production (ITP) and NSB crew assignments. Collaborate and coordinate with the UG Drama Production Office as they have oversight and create all practices for the studio.
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree in Theatre or related field
Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree in Theatre
Required Experience: 3+ years in production, front of house and stage management. College level training experience in stage and/or theater management.
Preferred Experience: 3+ years Experience in an academic arts setting and/or professional theatre production or stage management experience.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Strong organizational skills. Excellent communication skills as well as 'team building' ability. Production Coordinator is expected to remain well versed in the current standards and practices, both educational and professional, of Theatrical Management (both Not-for-Profit and Commercial). Computer literacy in Windows and Mac operating systems; applications: Microsoft Office, FileMaker, Adobe InDesign, familiarity with basic functions in AutoCAD and VectorWorks
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Knowledge of computer graphic software and print production processes.
