Assistant Professor of French and Francophone Studies
The Department of French and Francophone Studies at Bryn Mawr College invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position to begin August 1, 2023 in theater and/or performance studies, with other possible subfields in visual studies, new media, and ecocriticism. Research in 19th-Century French and Francophone Studies would also be considered an asset. The position includes the directorship of the internationally respected Institut d’Avignon. Administrative experience, especially in study abroad programs, is desired, but not required. Candidates must have demonstrated teaching excellence and should expect to teach at all levels of our curriculum (including language courses and graduate seminars for our AB/MA program).
