1. Participate in implementing professional development programs, workshops, and symposia for students, faculty, and staff related to equity and belonging initiatives.2. With a high degree of discretion and confidentiality, support the Office of Student Life activities, including student government, affinity/belonging groups, and career strategies.3. Serve as the principal source of information to the School of Music, Yale community, and other constituents regarding all programming, policies, and procedures for the Office of Student Life.4. Participate in the strategic planning for the Music in Schools Initiative's biennial Symposium.5. Manage and oversee the biennial Symposium; coordinate all related events and logistics pertaining to guest attendance. Develop policy documents and conduct research on topics relevant to the Symposium. Present the results of symposia to local, state, and national audiences. Lead the writing and publication process for national audience.6. As assigned by the Dean, represent the School of Music in university-wide initiatives. Facilitate robust partnerships throughout the New Haven community, including New Haven Public Schools and community music organizations.7. Oversee New Haven Promise summer interns.8. Foster the collaboration and development of New Haven's "music education ecosystem."9. Coordinate travel for the Director of Equity, Belonging, and Student Life and others as needed.10. Monitor expenditures and process monthly expense reports for the Director of Equity, Belonging, and Student Life and others as needed.11. Perform additional functions incidental to office activities and events as required.
Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree in Music and four years of related experience. Experience in the field of music education or teaching. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and strong learning skills for Yale and external software.
