The Senior Stage Manager assists in the execution of all Alys Stephens Center (ASC) presented productions as advanced by the ASC Technical Director and dictated by the artist technical rider. To oversee the preparation, hanging and connection of stage lighting fixtures and audio equipment. To assist with all aspects of production, maintaining a professional and courteous work environment, management of work crews and students for the setup, operation and dismantling of lights, sound and stage equipment. To remain informed of all technical requirements of artists and to assist the implementation of the technical needs of performance artists. To coordinate efforts between front-of-house personnel and technical personnel to assure that events are executed in a timely and efficient manner. To work with other ASC personnel on non-technical work-related needs as necessary for any events.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for all lighting, audio and staging, along with any virtual production needs, needs of a given production, and often serves as the lighting designer, audio engineer, or both.
- Knowledge and experience building and operating complex audio systems to meet the needs of a wide variety of events and productions, and fulfilling the technical needs of said productions as determined by the ASC Technical Director. Similar knowledge of lighting systems is also required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Hourly Pay Range: $15.50 - $21.00
This position is Evening, Night, and Weekend work that coordinates with shows and performances.
