The Kew-Forest School, a preschool through 12th grade, co-educational day school founded in 1918 in Forest Hills, NY, seeks an experienced part-time Middle & Upper School Drama teacher. Kew-Forest is proud to enroll an astonishingly diverse student body, including approximately nine percent of whom are international students. The Kew-Forest School seeks to promote diversity in its hiring process and is committed to building an inclusive community and culturally diverse faculty to work with our students and families. Middle & Upper School students study multiple facets of Drama including developing a sense of setting, character development, stage movement, and basic theatre production while working with a variety of scene styles - monologues, dialogues, comic scenes, dramatic scenes. The Middle & Upper School Drama teacher will work with a range of student learners across multiple grades and preference will be given to candidates with strong independent school experience. The Kew-Forest School is embarking on an exciting new chapter as it enters its 104th year of operation. The School is in the process of creating a campus master plan which will entail examining and making improvements to its current facilities, enhancing our students’ experience, and providing incredible growth, leadership, and professional development opportunities for our faculty.
