Classification Title: Student Services Program Coordinator II College/Division: Division of Student Affairs and Academic Support Department: SAAS Student Life Advertised Salary Range: Salary commensurate with qualifications Advertised Job Summary: The coordinator for Gamecock Entertainment is responsible for supporting the student coordination of programs and services which enhance the student experience and build community at UofSC. These programs include Dance Marathon, Homecoming Commission, and other departmental initiatives. Primary duties include: · Serve as an advisor to Dance Marathon and Homecoming Commission; Conducts meetings with student leaders; Support event planning, marketing, risk management, and other logistics. · Advises student leaders on the use of their operating and programmatic budgets; Facilitates training, seminars, meetings, and special projects as needed or assigned · Coordinates the creation of a departmental calendar of robust offerings of student events and programs that lead to student success and retention, which may include Carolina Welcome, Bustle at the Russell, Flick on the Field, Tiger Burn, Thursday After Dark, Gamecock Picture Show, and general Gamecock Entertainment programming · Recruits, hires, trains, and supervises Graduate assistants for Gamecock Entertainment and Gamecock Entertainment Interns in executing departmental programming and responsibilities. · Develops, maintains, and adjusts departmental budgetary accounts; Executes contractual and payment procedures for all programmatic expenditures · Partner and collaborate with key campus offices to ensure programs, services, and activities support a diverse, equitable, and inclusive learning and work environment. Advertised Minimum Qualifications : Masters degree in Student Services or related field and 1 year related experience, or bachelor's degree and 3 years related experience. This position will be asked to flex time to work some nights and weekends for functions and events. This position has been designated as essential personnel during inclement/hazardous weather and other emergencies.
