The instructor will work hands on with students and faculty in Production Management. The ideal candidate is an organized, self-motivated, and visionary person. Must thrive in a fast-paced collaborative environment which produces 2 theatre productions and 1 dance production each semester. Irregular hours are typical.
The appointment is only for the Fall 2022 semester (August 2022 through December 2022). The instructor will carry a 12-credit teaching load inclusive of three 3-credit courses and production management as an alternative work assignment.
Teaching - support the design and production curriculum: practicum classes, stage management, introduction to theatre, and other classes within instructor’s skill set.
Production Management - maintenance of a season calendar, production schedules, rehearsal space use, and budget management.
Bachelor of Fine Arts or Bachelor of Arts.
Experience teaching theatre and/or working as a production manager at a college level.
Master’s degree in Fine Arts.
Experience with student mentorship.
Experience in production management at a university and/or professional level.
Salary per three-credit course is $6,543.57. This is 12-credit teaching load.
