Manages multiple awards, projects, sub-budgets and USM Foundation accounts to include: income and expense reallocations (journal entries), tracking incoming funding, producing reports and performing monthly and fiscal year end reconciliation.
Processes all payroll, including: new hires, promotions, sabbaticals and terminations. Tracks and processes contracts for part-time hourly and salary faculty, contingent employees and lecturers. Manages the creation, reclassification and funding of department positions.
Performs personnel duties such as supervising two staff members; recruiting, hiring, and managing federal work study students; and processing faculty and staff searches (placing ads, creating requisitions, etc.).
Coordinates the summer session schedule and serves as a backup scheduler for fall and spring semesters.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED and six years of progressively responsible experience in a combination of budgeting, accounting, payroll, purchasing and personnel work
Strong computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office, including Excel
Budget Management experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to interact with students and faculty
Contracting and time sheet management
Experience with Google Calendar, PeopleSoft and presentation programs (Webex, Zoom, etc.)
