Oversee all aspects of the implementation and safe installation of temporary theatrical lighting and video plots for Department of Drama productions; inventory, track, and maintain department lighting, and projection equipment; and to provide instruction to Undergraduate Theatre majors in theatrical lighting and video production.
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree
Preferred Education: Master's Degree Technical Production or Lighting or Video Design
Required Experience: 5+ years in lighting and video design and installation. College level teaching experience in lighting or video design or technology.
Preferred Experience: 5+ years Professional connection to the New York theatre.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Excellent drafting and rigging skills Ability to provide technical training to non-technical audience. Experience working with directors, designers and theatrical productions. Ability to read designs, schematics, construction blueprints and plans. Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, professional lighting and sound design software.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Member of United States Institute of Theatre Technology (USITT) and United Scenic Artists (USA) or International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE).
