Scholarships CoordinatorThe Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, (UTK) invites applications and nominations for our Scholarships Coordinator position. We are seeking candidates who can contribute in meaningful ways to the diversity and intercultural goals of the University. The University and Region UTK is the state's flagship, land-grant university. We are a Research 1 university with 11 colleges and more than 30,000 students. With new leadership at the system, university, and college levels, UTK is poised for dramatic positive change focused on solving some of the most audacious, pressing problems our country and world face today. The Division The Enrollment Management (EM) division comprises more than 170 full-time staff who serve our students through the following departments and functions: Undergraduate Admissions, International Recruitment, Transfer Center, One Stop Student Services, Financial Aid and Scholarships, University Registrar, EM Communications, and Research & Analytics. The Office of Enrollment Management is committed to our Vision, Mission and Values. The Position: Hybrid/remote work schedule with in-person component. The coordinator serves as an expert level of support to students and families on scholarship eligibility, and is expected to have a high level of technical knowledge and expertise in state and institutional regulations. The coordinator makes independent judgments and decisions, has final decision and override authority for all scholarship appeals, and serves as the backup to the Assistant Director of Scholarships. The coordinator is responsible for schedule coordination and workload prioritization of the specialists, and provides them with direct feedback, coaching, and training. The coordinator creates recommendations for efficiencies and other operational improvements, and provides training to campus users of the scholarship management software, Scholarship Manager. The coordinator serves as an expert level of assistance regarding all scholarships, including UT Promise, Pledge, Flagship, Volunteer, and merit-based awards, and advises students, parents and campus partners regarding the different initial and ongoing eligibility requirements. The coordinator provides oversight on all institutional scholarships, and serves on selection committees to award recipients of donor-funded scholarships. The coordinator serves as the main point of contact for the UT Promise Scholarship and works directly with the UT System to identify eligible students, troubleshoot scholarship issues, and attends UT Promise system meetings as the Knoxville campus liaison. The coordinator maintains the accuracy of existing policies and procedures, and creates new procedures as appropriate.
