SEEKING TECHNICAL THEATRE/AUDITORIUM MANAGER...

North Central High School (Indianapolis), with nearly 4,000 students, is searching for a full-time with benefits Technical Director/Auditorium Manager beginning with the 2022-2023 school year. The position involves teaching beginning and advanced technical theatre courses, managing the auditorium (which will be completely renovated by this fall semester!), designing/building sets/lights/sound for the award-winning theatre program, and supporting all areas of the performing arts department and any events that occur in the PAD spaces. The position is in MSDWT (Metropolitan School District of Washington Township) on the north side of Indianapolis. All performing arts programs (theatre, choir, band, and orchestra) are strong, award-winning programs. We have very high expectations for our students and faculty. The job does NOT require a teaching license (though it would be preferable). MSDWT salaries are extremely competitive! This is a big job with big expectations and it’s a wonderful place to work and teach. While the renovated 1,400-seat auditorium will be completed this autumn, the entire building and all performing arts areas are being renovated (or constructed new) in the next few years. There will be a brand new technical theatre teaching classroom, a brand new theatre rehearsal/studio/lab theatre space, brand new costume/dressing rooms, a renovated acting classroom, new and enlarged theatre storage areas, and a completely renovated 300-seat performance space.
