New York University (NYU) Berlin is seeking a part-time lecturer to teach an undergraduate course on contemporary international politics in the Fall 2022 semester. While we are open to suggestions for topics in contemporary international politics and international relations, we envisage the course to be on one (or a combination) of the following topics:
The course is taught in English, meets once per week for 3 hours, and the sessions are a mixture of lecture, seminar, and possibly field trips and/or joint discussions with students from local universities. The Fall term runs approximately from September 1 to December 19, 2022. Candidates should be fluent in English, have a track record of academic publications in the field and be passionate about teaching a very diverse cohort of undergraduate students. As the course is open to students from any major, the course content and pedagogy should ensure accessibility for a variety of students. NYU is committed to providing a campus community that reflects and enacts the values of inclusion, diversity, belonging, and equity, which inform academic excellence. The lecturer is expected to support and promote this commitment both in and outside of the classroom. NYU Berlin offers:
