Bank Street Summer Camp uses educational professionals and recreational learning to create developmentally focused programs and experiences that are open to any children entering pre-kindergarten through eighth grade (ages 4 to 13). Guided by Bank Street’s progressive philosophy, campers build community in a safe environment while nurturing their social-emotional skills.
Bank Street Summer Camp is seeking candidates for multiple Activity Specialist positions. Activity Specialists lead subject-based curriculum to camp groups within an age division. Activity Specialists report directly to their age division Unit Head.
The following Activity Specialists positions are available:
Bachelor's degree preferred; proficiency in speciality area and previous experience in a camp or classroom setting required.
Must be 21 years of age by the start of camp.
Must hold certifications in First Aid & CPR or attend training provided by Bank Street Summer Camp.
Must attend Camp Staff Orientation the week of June 20, 2022.
Lead 2-3 “speciality periods” per day
Designs and implements curriculum across a number of ages
Develops skills, knowledge/understanding; emphasizes team/group work
Responsible for end-of-session culminating project or performance
Accompanies groups to the park, swim, and on field trips
Maintains daily communication with the Unit Head.
